Me , myself and I.
I am starting this month with a challenge from Off the Rails Scrapbooking. The colour pallette for the challenge was black and white and the highlight colour was red. I picked up on the hounds tooth on one of the dresses and also the spots on another dress.
I hope you have enjoyed my page ,
Cheers and happy scrapping. Heather Bensley.

Beautiful. Just Perfect.
For this challenge from Kaisercraft the criteria was Hexagons. I used their “Me” collection of papers and their Wild Flower collectibles, clearstamps Honeycomb and small dots. I bought the small dot stamp just a few weeks ago and I think it is going to be my new fave for backgrounds. The kaisercraft bling was Island Lagoon. The larger flowers were fussy cut and then distressed and spritzed with water and a spritzing pen and also the same on all of the hexagons and the pieces from the collectibles. Chloe and her cabbage patch doll Stephanie are the subjects in the photo that I chose.

Love
Bling. Bling. Bling. I love it. The challenge at Archiscraps for February is Bling! In my stash I found an amazing piece of bling that had been given to me by my friend and then I used a diamente studded word for the title. Very blingy. A scattering of diamentes around the page continued the theme. For the background I spritzed and then used a couple of stamps to add more interest.

Don’t stop the music
Welcome back to the Scrapbookit team Jo, Mel and Jane. I hope you had a great Christmas And New Year. It was enjoyable and interesting to see your takes on your favorite pages for 2017. I am sure you were all spoilt for choice. The challenge from the Scrapbookit team for February is a 3-2-1 format. 3 different colours, 2- embellishments and 1 - a song title or lyric as the page title.
The song title that I chose was...Don’t stop the music by Rhianna. In my photo stash I found a cute photo of Fletch playing the xylaphone. The three colours that I chose were red, yellow and blue and luckily in my stash were some wooden music note embellishments that I coloured to match my theme. Adding some twine finished the criteria.
Thank you for looking at my page.
Cheers and happy scrapping. Heather B.

Love Memories thankful
I know I have some tassels in my stash....somewhere.....maybe. Move on to plan B. I will have to make some. Over at Archiscraps this month their challenge is to use Tassels. This was a great idea. They are not something that I have used on my pages but they are a great idea. I have visions of using them more frequently as you can make them to suit your colours, grunge or whatever. I eventually, after much unfruitful searching, made a few using coloured twine that I chose to co-ordinate with my photo. I agonised over whether to make them fancy or glitzy or beaded, but in the end decided simple was the way to go. They are probably not the most professional finish but I was happy with them and I love them on my page. Thanks to the ladies at Archiscraps It was a lovely challenge.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page.

Happy
Another January challenge for Lets Get Sketchy. I love multiple sketch challenges because I have lots of multiple photos that I need to use also. Sometimes the other photo’s help tell the story of why and when the photo was taken. I have been trying to use these extra photos by doing a second page using a project life page and while I have all the papers and embellishments at my finger tips it is then easy to do the continuation.
This series of Photos was taken just after Milla turned one. There is alot of dribble because she was enjoying her fruit while I was harassing her with the camera. She is such a happy little smiler it is always easy to get happy snaps. She is so special.
This was a good sketch to work with and used my favourite border punch using a lot of toning scraps. I enjoyed doing this page because eveytime I looked at the photos and saw her beautiful smile it made me smile also.
Cheers and Happy scrapping.

Cool
Wow we are having a real heatwave at the moment. Temperatures above 40degrees during the day. This is a good time to hibernate inside with the airconditioner blowing. The christmas hustle and bustle is well past and the New Year has been rung in and celebrated with much ado. Now it is time to get back to reality which includes a bit of scrapping.
Some challenge blogs have also taken a holiday for January but Lets Get Sketchy have hung in and still have their challenges for the month. My interpretation of the January 1st challenge sketch was using a couple of Grandpa and Fletcher moments. I have used some beautiful papers from Stamperia’s Wonderland collection. The colours of the photo’s reflected perfectly with the papers.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my page.
Cheers and Happy Scrapping. Heather B.
